There are struggles people carry every single day that often go unseen.

A child avoiding school because they do not have deodorant.
A teen feeling isolated because they cannot afford basic hygiene products.

A veteran, foster child, or individual in recovery quietly battling a loss of confidence because access to everyday hygiene essentials has become a barrier.

These are the moments that inspired me to start Bless Up & Bloom.

Founded in 2020, Bless Up & Bloom was created from one simple but powerful belief: every person deserves to feel clean, confident, and cared for. What began as a heart for helping others has grown into a nonprofit organization serving individuals and families throughout Findlay, Hancock County, and communities across Northwest Ohio.

Through hygiene education, wellness support, outreach events, and essential hygiene products, Bless Up & Bloom works to remove barriers that many people face quietly.

But our mission goes far beyond hygiene kits.

At its heart, Bless Up & Bloom is about restoring dignity, building confidence, and helping people rediscover their self-worth.

In a world that often focuses on outward appearance, we focus on something much deeper.

Our mission is not rooted in vanity. It is rooted in dignity.

When someone has access to basic hygiene products, education, and support, something changes. They can walk into a classroom, job interview, community space, or daily routine feeling more prepared and more confident.

For a student, it may mean walking into school with their head held higher.

For someone seeking employment, it may mean showing up to an interview feeling ready.

For a child, it may mean learning healthy hygiene habits for the first time.

For someone going through a difficult season, it may mean being reminded that their circumstances do not define their worth.

These moments may seem small from the outside, but they can be life-changing for the person experiencing them.

That is why Bless Up & Bloom provides more than supplies. We provide encouragement, instruction, and support in a way that is respectful and compassionate.

Our Bloom Basics hygiene education classes are designed to help individuals learn practical daily hygiene routines in a safe and supportive environment. These classes are especially meaningful for youth, individuals with special needs, foster care programs, recovery communities, and anyone who may benefit from guidance and encouragement.

Hygiene education can help build lifelong habits. It can support health and wellness. It can increase confidence. And just as importantly, it can remind people that they are worthy of care.

Every outreach event, hygiene class, donation drive, and volunteer effort is built around one goal: removing barriers that prevent people from thriving.

We believe real impact happens when communities stop overlooking invisible struggles and start meeting people where they are with compassion and practical support.

Sometimes that support looks like a hygiene kit.
