There are struggles people carry every single day that often go unseen.

A child avoiding school because they do not have deodorant. A teen feeling isolated because they cannot afford basic hygiene products. A parent forced to choose between groceries and toothpaste. A veteran, foster child, or individual in recovery quietly battling a loss of confidence because access to everyday essentials has become a barrier.

These are the moments that inspired Bless Up & Bloom.

Founded in 2020, Bless Up & Bloom was created with one powerful belief: every person deserves to feel clean, confident, and cared for. The organization exists to provide hygiene education, wellness support, and essential hygiene products to individuals and families throughout Northwest Ohio.

At one Bless Up & Bloom outreach event, two women received haircut vouchers. They were excited, grateful, and ready for a fresh start.

What we did not know at the time was just how determined they were to use them.

The women did not have transportation, but that did not stop them. They walked 45 minutes one way to get to our founder Brooke’s chair so they could receive their haircuts.

Bless Up & Bloom was honored to join Families & Freightliners on May 30 for an evening of family fun, local partnerships, community connection, and Northwest Ohio outreach.
